Drop it real low

JM Rosario

Because with a saggy middle and cropped legs, you would think who the hell will wear them? Yes, truth be told not everyone looks good on them. These pants choose the wearer and are not favored by the many for giving them a much heavier illusion. They definitely are tricky to wear but once this look is owned they actually look really flattering and unique.

Safari Chic

Monica Mariano

Bring the safari to the concrete jungle of the School of Design and Arts. Designers embraced their animal instincts this Fall 2010 season and showcased animal print styles on the runways. The zebra print looks absolutely fabulous as it creates a stylish black and white color combination which could spice up any elegant outfit. Fashion designers used zebra prints on trenches as well as outfits and accessories, creating a jungle themed elegant look that makes you stand out without looking inappropriate.

Pearls and Chains

Pia Fasol

The tried and tested formula when you want to make a statement is wearing an all-black ensemble. Audrey Hepburn (with the classic black get up) meets Rihanna (layering of necklaces). The look manages to imprint itself lastingly in our consciousness and it's an accomplishment at that.

Black Leather is Rock n' Roll

Style Tip:
Always remember that a standout piece can make your simple outfit extra special. Try wearing a plain ensemble (ergo black ballet flats, white top and pants) with any statement piece, either its a neck piece or bag, your look will surely look way more than plain. Balancing your look (plain with avant-garde, etc.,) is the perfect reminder when dressing up.

Harem Pants

Brit Dimailig

Style Tip: When you know the pants is the star of an outfit keep everything else simple.

Chains and Pendants

Different strokes for different folks. Some people wear bow ties, sport eccentric hairstyles or wear Supras all in the name of self-expression. For a solid fashion look wearing necklaces can be of great help. This instantly makes your wardrobe look more upscale and is a great fashion statement. They come in unique shapes and sizes and material and the one you choose to wear definitely reflects your personality.

Fiery Red Hair

Guia Soleta

The best accessory is a great, standout hair. Either its a crazy colored hair, wild curly one, wavy-like-you-just-went-to-a-beach look or just straigh shiny and sleek, an amazing hairstyle (mohawk, curled, anything goes!) can quickly change your look from boring to fierce.

Sketch Sunday: Lace

Asking a lot of girls who their style icons are, we often get bored with the usual Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan response. (Sure they were hot back when they still can afford having stylists.) But when we asked Isabelle Dee who she looks up to for style inspiration, we couldn't help but nod when she answered: Olivia Palermo. On the rise right now is this New York socialite who is known for having impeccable taste when it comes to clothes. Known for her sophisticated style, she often pulls of the very feminine look in a dramatic and very classy way.
