We remember highlighting the varsity trend two months ago and just like a seamless transition, the baseball cap has been spotted on some stylish individuals at the campus. This surely has been infused in the everyday casual look of some of us and it's the best way to cover up when one's having a less flattering hairstyle. And just a tip, don't wear it backwards and try to match the color palette of the hat with your outfit.

The insignia of this cap is that of the Los Angeles Dodgers which is a popular Major League baseball team in the US. Logos and imprints such as these were needed for advertising as athletic events were being watched by many and the caps served as free advertising space. By the late 1980s, not only were the athletes the ones wearing them because directors and the common people have started to make the baseball cap their own fashion statement.

The baseball cap trend was adapted into the hip hop scene during the 1990s. It was during this time that the hip hop music and fashion changed almost in sync. With the intent of protecting our eyes from the sun's rays, the baseball cap has since then come a long way as it is an item celebrities and hip hop superstars have found too fashionable to be underused.
